I have my Hallows' Read story finished and in Beta. I don't have to clean, today. So some part of today will be spent on 'shopping up a cover for that sordid and horrific tale.
I'm montaging references for the cover of Beauties and the Beastly, tracing what I can and deciding where I'm going to use pattern brushes1. But I'm going to take a break from the cover, today so I can devote my time and energy to some more frames of SESP.
But I probably won't have time to animate this weekend. I have to squeeze it into next week because tech support calls once more. And Beloved and I are going to make "muffins" version 1.1, which should be greatly improved from my initial experiment.
I shall share the successful recipe when it's done. And not a jot before.
Things are coming together in funny ways. And it's really hard to believe that things are coming together for Beauties and the cover when I still need a billion references and I plan to do an Era-accurate etching-style cover for the dang thing.
I still have two Betas to round up on that firkin novel, so if anyone wants to weigh in on the chapters posted to my Patreon, that would be extremely helpful.
For as little as a dollar a month, you can make fun of my spelling errata, continuity errors, and any other little mistakes I might have made during the ten months it took me to write the dang thing.
But this coming Monday, I shall be posting the progress so far for the cover art. Both with where I'm actually at and the mess of all layers at once. The internet seems to like it when I post a mess.
I've been working on this thing for about four days, and it does not show, alas. So much hilarity is going to be had, I'm sure.
Anyway, my detail-oriented arse is going to do the brat run, now.
Everywhere I can get away with it! ↩
