This morning, after cats, self-maintenance, and foot stretchies, I started braiding jute twine for my new cane cord. I have figured out that I can leave it off my cane until it's nearly done.
I'm also reasonably sure I can braid the entire thing instead of braiding it partway and then making a thicker cord out of the extant cord. I know the technique but... could be troublesome. Best to keep things simple for version one.
I will keep fixing things until they're broken beyond my ability to do that.
