Another day of shenanigans ahead

This time, we're finishing up the paint job and maybe attaching the roof. I'm getting used to the idea that we're going to just... spend half of Saturdays just getting stuff, now.

So yeah, we now own a new paint sprayer and this one might suffer the slings and arrows of being stored for extended periods and not develop leaks like the old one.
The old one did more resemble a Super Soaker than anything industrial.

The new one looks a bit like it could turn malevolent, but the hose is sturdy and we got most of the frame covered in the first coat of white paint. I also got me covered in a first coat of white paint. Fortunately, a nice, hot shower and a good scrub-over got rid of that noise. I even got it out of my hair.

...and I'm going to be doing it again, today. On the coldest day of the year. In shirtsleeves because I don't want any of my coats getting paint on them. Oh pity me.

I. HATE. The cold.

I am not going to be a happy camper.

On the other hand, I will be one more step closer to having a kittycat shelter worthy of a pampered feline, so there is that. We have the materials for most of the walkway tunnels. I'm pretty sure we're shy a few things for the actual connection to the cat flap. We'll get there when we get there, I guess.

For now, though, I am enjoying a moment's quiet time in the warm. Enjoying it whilst it doth last.

I have to wake up Beloved. We have painting to do.
