For your fic search - you could doc search for the sequel title, or "flotsam", and find the first from there, or look in each fic file...

The Kurt-sold-to-the-circus fic is in my queue.

I am, however, fairly certain I didn’t call the Sara!Assassin fic _Flotsam_… But it was set in the Blue Moon ‘verse ( gah, my memory is letting me down. I keep wanting to say Love is Blue… Mebbe that was the prequel…)
