Some Fun Now
I finished one epic and posted it. Yay.
I started posting another epic as a series before I'm anywhere near done. Yay... ish?
And now I'm working on a one-shot that's a companion to a different one-shot I made earlier. And might even be done soon. If I can convince myself to stay away from the other firkin epics.
Of course, working on them ensures that they get finished... and I might whittle down to one epic in the fullness of time. It depends how rabid the plotbunnies get.
Today is a cleaning day. Which means that the Instant could come out this morning, or it could come out this afternoon. But it will come out.
And I owe my dollar donors a little something. Maybe a screencap of the cover-in-progress. I'll find the time to make that happen.
Tomorrow. Definitely. I am looking up the agents and sending out samples according to specifications. I'll have the time, then.
And for those interested in my ur-cold, I have a new anti-lurgi solution: Ginger Garlic Chicken Soup.
You will need:
- A big-arse pot to cook in
- A ladle
- A cooktop
- Whizz Wand
- 2 bulbs of garlic, squished or minced
- about half a cup of grated ginger
- 4-6 chicken thighs
- veggies of preference [Mayhem likes tomatoes, Chaos loves mushrooms. I used diced cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. YMMV]
- Chicken stock [I used 2 cubes of Chicken Oxo]
- Salt [I used a handful and a half]
- Water
Slow cook the thighs, stock, and herbs/spices together for most of the day. Blitz together with the Whizz Wand, and add the veggies. Bring to the boil.
Best served with a dollop of real cream mixed into the bowl. The perfect soup for warding off Lurgies, bad feelings, or general uckiness.
