Can I ask y'all something?
I’m nearing completion of my second year’s worth of doing instant stories. I’m “looking forward” to another spate of wrist-crippling editing so I can get 366 [it’s a leap year of instants, this time] stories collated, corrected, indexed and ready to rock and roll, come early 2015.
The thing is… I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
One Year of Instants has had seventy-four downloads. Seventy four.
Of those, eight people bought the whole thing.
Of those, three people decided that a year of my life was actually worth some money.
So I need to know some stuff.
- Is it the cover?
- Is it the sample size?
- Is it the quality of the work?
- Is it the fact that you can still view all of these stories for free if you dig far enough back into my archives?
- What the flakk is wrong with this anthology?
Please let me know, as I would like to actually make a living selling this stuff. What do I need to do to make this better?
I need to learn for next time. Please help.
