1) Absolutely. I’m not going to throw away a universe’s mechanics on a stand-alone book. [The Amity Incident is still in progress, but it should be out sometime in 2015] The Numidid and the planet Amity are firmly in Amalgam Universe.

2) Numurrica is one of those colony worlds that imploded. It’s only mentioned in an instant story featuring archaeologists digging up the remnants.

As a foreigner, I can’t help but watch America and its various factions and ponder what would happen if a bunch of like-minded zealots got a planet to make in its own image, and since America as it exists thrives on war… you get a colony planet that blew itself up.

Have no fear! There are other American-themed colonial worlds that made it. They were a lot more… realistic… in their ideals. I just have to make them up. Suggestions are welcome :D
